Its already Fall season and we are busy working on plans for the rest of this year and into next. Exciting times at the channel. In the meantime, we have a few updates on what’s airing on Comcast VOD. Today’s post will be short as we prepare for next week’s 2nd announcement.

Are you planning to attend New York Anime Festival/New York Comic Con in October? The channel will be there at the FUNimation Entertainment booth. We will have channel request cards for con attendees to fill out.  Stop by our booth, fill out the channel request cards and enter for a chance to win an anime prize pack worth $250. We might be giving stuff away at the show too. Follow the channel on Twitter for up-to-date at-con news. Video providers need to hear from you – the viewers – that YOU WANT YOUR FUNIMATION CHANNEL. This will be your chance to be heard and make a difference all the while trying to win some sweet swag.

Do you have VOD and still can’t find us? We are found under the category called The Cutting Edge and listed as Funimation Anime. Our PPV VOD offers viewers a chance to watch new shows before they street on DVD.

Here’s what’s up on Comcast VOD:

  1. Since My on Demand hasn’t been updated, I guess I’ll go to the video portal which reminds me Funi, this might sound like a strange question to ask but which series do you all recommend right now?

  2. “I’m so confused. You guys keep talking about the Funimation Channel expanding to more systems very soon, but you’re still discussing this with Comcast. So does that mean you’re close to finishing the deal with them, or are they not even in the picture when you say more systems?”

I asked this last time, but I got no response. I really am getting flipped responses Funimation. Can we atleast find out which systems are close to getting a deal?

    • @Justin – Due to confidentiality agreements, we are unable to disclose which operators we are close to getting a launch deal. We can only disclose that information when both parties agree on a Official Press Release or if a representative from the channel announces the launch at an anime convention.

  3. I wish I could be at NYAF since all the rumors and rumblings that are going on what might be happening there. Hope you everyone who goes has fun. I will keep up I want Funimation channel from my computer.

  4. when you say funimation channel does that mean for tv, i heard about the funimation channel but i have dish network under at&t will we get it for dishnetwork?
